Lifewater Nigeria Celebrates Hydration Day

Lifewater Nigeria Promotes Hydration in Paikon Kore

Lifewater Nigeria, a non-profit organization that works to provide clean water and sanitation to communities in need, recently hosted a hydration event in Paikon Kore, Nigeria. The event was held on National Hydration Day, June 23, 2023, and was attended by students from Junior Secondary School and Government Secondary School Paikon Kore.

The event kicked off with prayers and the Nigerian National Pledge. Mr. Kenneth Nteh, Lifewater Nigeria’s Hygiene and Sanitation Coach, then led the students in interactive demonstrations about the importance of hydration. He explained how water helps regulate body temperature, keeps the brain focused, and prevents dehydration.

The highlight of the event was the Hydration Challenge. Students participated in exciting water games, and the winners were the ones who could finish a 75cl bottle of water the fastest after dancing. This activity reinforced the importance of staying hydrated during physical activity.

Lifewater Nigeria also announced that it would be sinking a well in the school compound to encourage students to drink water regularly. A hydration club was also formed to serve as a vanguard leading the course of staying hydrated.

The hydration event in Paikon Kore was a success, and it is expected to have a ripple effect. Students were charged to spread hydration awareness beyond the school’s walls, thereby spreading the message of healthy living to their parents and members of their community.

Lifewater Nigeria is committed to providing clean water and sanitation to communities in need. By promoting hydration, Lifewater Nigeria is helping to improve the health and well-being of people around the world.

So grab a glass or bottle of clean water, and join us in staying hydrated!
