Bosso Primary School

I am a student at Bosso Primary School in Minna. Getting water inside the school has been quite difficult for us. Although everyone believes that water is essential for life, neither the school nor the community as a whole has enough of it. To acquire water, we must cross a busy highway, which has in the past resulted in accidents. There was no water available for us to use after defecating, thus we were unable to use the toilet. 

Now that it’s raining season, we can store water and utilize it whenever it rains, so things have been a little better for us. But during the dry season, it is very difficult. Children leave the school grounds with the intention of drinking water at home and never return. 

We are so grateful for the rehabilitation of the borehole by Lifewater. They have provided us with a clean water source and toilets. This has made a huge difference in our lives. We can now go to school without having to worry about getting water or using the toilet.
