Apalataipi is a community in the Tafa area of Nigeria with dire water scarcity. Before our intervention, the community depended on a stream and open hand-dug wells. The stream water is unsafe and dries up during periods of low rainfall. The open nature of the stream makes it accessible to humans and animals, making it a veritable medium for disease transmission in the community. But with the drilling of a new well, the water crisis is now a thing of the past. Today, there is water and so much joy in the Apalataipi community.
