Hanyan Gwari

My name is Lami from Hanyan Gwari. We have been dealing with a water shortage in our town for a long time now. My children often arrived at school late and unkempt because there was never enough water to wash their clothes. We traveled from one hamlet to the next, from river to stream, all in pursuit of water. The long distance to the river caused headaches and body aches, and the water from the stream was so filthy that it made us sick most times. Additionally, my children were always getting typhoid because of the contaminated water. 

Every time it rained and there was a strong wind, the water would become muddy and full of filth. We are incredibly grateful to God for sending the team to help rehabilitate our borehole. We are ecstatic that the community now has a clean source of water and that we won’t have to struggle to obtain water for drinking or other purposes. Bless you all and thank you to Lifewater.
