Saidetu, a resident of the Kpakungu community, has spoken about the impact of water shortages on her community. She says, “We have been experiencing water shortages for some time. We must wait in lengthy lines to collect water, which occasionally runs out before it is our turn. The stream is too far away from the community and unclean to drink. The cost of purchasing water from a truck pusher is high, and not everyone can afford it. Due to a lack of water to bathe or wash their clothes, our children arrive at school looking messy and uncared for. We are quite appreciative of the borehole rehabilitation. God grant the Lifewater family blessings and rewards.”
