Kwaka community is in Niger State. Before our intervention, the people had no access to safe water. The people use water from the river, which is quite distant from the community.
The Inhabitants suffer the risk of attacks on the road to the river. And physical exhaustion from the long distance they cover daily.
Most children can not make up for lost school time, and the women are trapped in an endless cycle of disease and poverty.
With the repairs of broken hand pumps, the Kwaka community has clean water and can now thrive in productive endeavors.
