The estimated population of the Gurara Local Government Area is 145,660 inhabitants. Gurara is the host to one of the most beautiful tourist destinations in Nigeria- the Gurara Falls.

Gwachipe is among the many communities in Gurara suffering from severe water shortages. Despite the proximity of Gwachipe to a national heritage like the Gurara falls, the government has left the community without any form of basic amenities.

The community depended on open hand-dug wells and a stream.

During our visit this time, we rehabilitated  one hand pump in Gwachipe Kwaka and Angwan Bagobiri Gwachipe.
