With broken hand pumps, the Sabo Gari Diko community has been suffering from a scarcity of water for many years.
During this period, the community depended on open hand-dug wells and water from the stream. These water sources are unsafe and have adverse health implications for the residents.
With constant repairs and little results, the most sustainable step was to replace the hand pumps to reduce the suffering of residents. With the rehab, the pump is now functioning optimally. The residents appreciated this rare show of love at this challenging time.
