N23-W024 Nintabi

Nintabi is an impoverished community in the Akwanga district of Nasarawa State. The community depended on a river as their primary source of water.
The inhabitants are predominantly farmers who could barely afford three square meals.
Women and children wake early in the morning in search of water. A trek to the river takes about 30 minutes, with many having to trek 3 to 4 times before fetching enough water for their families. In sum, women and children use approximately 3 to 4 hours getting water daily
The new well in the community will save precious time used in drawing water from the river. Children will have more time for studies. Women will equally have more time for productive activities.
