N23-W046 Fyakuchi Community I

The Fyakuchi Community is in a severe water crisis. For many years the community depended on unsafe water from a distant river. The water from the river is unhealthy for human consumption, yet the community holds on to it because it can not afford a healthy alternative.  

The young and old have fallen ill after drinking the water, with many hospitalized.  

Our intervention is not just to end the water crisis but to halt the looming healthcare crisis brought about by the lack of safe water. With the support of donors and the help of God, Lifewater Nigeria was able to drill two wells in the Fyakuchi community.  

Joseph Samson from the community was delighted that someone saw their problem far away from Canada and came to their rescue. He prayed, “May God Almighty bless the donors according to His riches in glory.”
