Samunaka is a community in Nasarawa State experiencing a scarcity of water. Before our intervention, the community depended on a distant stream and hand-dug wells.
Access to these sources endangers the health and affects children’s education in the community. About 15 hours of school time is lost every week due to the lack of water in the community.
During our visit, we drilled a new well in Samunaka. Today, safe water runs in the community, and children should be able to attend school regularly.
